This South Korean company is the world’s largest Conglomerate by revenue. Its electronics division, Samsung Electronics, have played second fiddle to Sony for most of the existence until 2005, when it took over Sony as the biggest consumer electronics brand. As one of the founding member of the Blu-ray Disc Association, Samsung played crucial part in establishing the Blu-ray format.

Samsung, along with Sony, introduced the very first consumer Blu-ray disc player. Being one of the companies that spearheaded the Blu-ray format, Samsung has been quick to implement the various updates to Profile on their Blu-ray players. Samsung offers variety of Blu-ray players including the price friendly entry level players to high end players.
