Memorex


Memorex started out as a media solutions manufacturer. Established in 1961, the company started out selling computer and video tapes. They later expanded into computer equipments and disk drives. That root is not forgotten as Memorex is well known brand for blank CD and blank DVD media. Imation purchased Memorex brand in 2006. Today, Memorex produces consumer electronics as a subsidiary of Imation.

Memorex is primarily known producing consumer electronics that are cheaper than the offerings from major electronics makers. As such, they offer consumer electronics goods that are aimed at budget minded consumers. As of now, they offer one consumer Blu-ray player in Memorex MVBD-2510. As expected with cheaper player, the player lacks some key features like Profile 2.0 and onboard decoding of High Resolution audio formats.
