I had originally bought a Magnavox during the day after Thanksgiving sale. It worked for about 5 movies...I think. So I took it back. I shopped around and initially turned my nose up at the Insignia. I talked to the salesperson and he told me that he bought one months previously and hasn't had one problem. For the price, I figured what the heck. I told him to write his name on the receipt and if I had a problem I was coming to look for him ;-) Lucky him, I have not had one problem. It loads fairly quickly (from what I hear some take a while) and the picture is great weather I play Blu-Ray or standard DVDs. My television is only a 720, but I like the picture. Crisp, clean, clear. I have my own little theater system so it sounds great too. I would imagine that with as many of these that were sold, and so far only 3 complaints, that's not bad. So now we have a player and cannot watch movies that we rent! I thought that was the purposed of purchasing one! We should go back to the good "ole" days of VCR tapes.
