Cheap Blu-Ray Players
After Blu-Ray technology became the sole survival from the bitter format war against HD-DVD, the average prices of Blu-Ray players have been falling rather quickly. Due to many technology manufacturers entering the Blu-Ray market since the format war, the selling price of a typical Blu-Ray player is around $200. Some home brand such as Insignia, which is exclusively sold at Best Buy, went down as much as $150 in 2008 during the holidays. To further fuel the already competitive industry, Blu-Ray Disc Association recently announced that Chinese technology manufacturers are allowed to began producing cheap Blu-Ray players.
